When you create something, you leave a part of yourself in it.

When you create something, you leave a part of yourself in it.

TAYO NA highlights the artists and makers of Austin who contribute to its creative and warmly collaborative atmosphere. They are all of Filipino heritage, but their work can be seen as influenced by it or completely separate from it, depending on which maker you talk to. Tayo na in Tagalog means ‘let’s go’ or ‘it’s our turn’, which we thought was an apt way to encourage these artists and makers to step forward and show Austin and the world what they pour their hearts into.

We hope you see the product and the person first, individuals impossible to define or summarize as a collective.

...

For over four decades, Austin has been known as the Live Music Capital of the World with concerts taking place every single night throughout the city. A broader creative class branches out from this epicenter spanning food, art, fashion, film and photography, graphic design, crafts, and vintage ephemera, helping to Keep Austin Weird. These are a few of those people.
